Advanced English
Welcome to Advanced English. This is considered a college prep class and it will be treated that way. This means that we move more quickly through the material and you are expected to do more work on your own.
We will begin the year with short stories from our text book, but by the end of first semester, we will move on to novels.
We will focus, throughout the year, on building our essay writing skills. We will write autobiographical, literary analysis and research papers. These will range from timed in-class essays to process pieces.
We will also spend time with vocabulary building activities.
You will have homework assignments that should be completed and turned in on time.
I love teaching this class and with your participation and curiosity we can mae it a wonderful and full year.
